How does the Motability Scheme work?

The Motability Scheme allows disabled people who qualify for certain weekly mobility allowances to lease a car.

In exchange for joining the scheme you’ll forfeit some or all of your weekly allowance.

Depending on what kind of car you choose, you may also be required to make a one-off payment at the beginning of your lease. There are many models available that require no advance payment.

Every lease lasts for three years and also includes many of the costs associated with running a car.

What’s included in my payment?

  • A brand new car every three years
  • Comprehensive car insurance from RSA Motability for you and/or up to two named drivers
  • Breakdown assistance
  • Servicing
  • Maintenance
  • Repairs
  • Any adaptations you may need (often at no extra cost)

The only thing you need to cover is the cost of any fuel you use.

How can I join?

It’s simple. Call or visit the Barnard & Brough dealership in Hayward’s Heath and we’ll talk you through the range of Nissan models available through the scheme.

We’ll also arrange a test drive in any models that take your fancy, and help you place an order once you’ve made up your mind.
